β How You Complete This Course
- Work in order. Lessons unlock sequentially β complete each lesson’s topics and pass its quiz to advance.
- Quizzes: each lesson ends with a quiz drawn randomly from a larger question bank. You must score at least 70% to advance. You may retake quizzes; every question includes an explanation so you learn from each attempt.
- Videos: instructional videos play in real time β fast-forwarding is disabled, because Alabama requires verified instructional hours.
- Time limits: AREC allows you one year from enrollment to complete the course, and grants credit for a maximum of 6 instructional hours per day. Pace yourself β cramming is capped by law!
- Final examination: the course concludes with a proctored final exam requiring a score of 70% or higher. Details and scheduling are in the “Exam Proctoring and Instructions” lesson.
- After you pass: we report your completion, and you’ll receive your certificate to schedule the state licensing exam. You must take the state exam within 6 months of completing this course.
