β How You Complete This Course
- Work in order. Lessons unlock sequentially β complete each lesson’s topics and pass its quiz to advance.
- Quizzes: each lesson ends with a quiz drawn randomly from a larger question bank. You must score at least 80% to advance. You may retake quizzes; every question includes an explanation so you learn from each attempt.
- Video, slides & reading: every lesson’s Materials tab has an instructor-narrated slide video, the chapter reading, and a downloadable chapter PDF. Pause and replay freely. Your progress is recorded as you complete each topic and quiz, and completion requires moving through every lesson in order and passing every assessment.
- Your access period: your enrollment includes 6 months of course access β ample time at any reasonable pace, and it keeps you studying current law and exam material. Need longer? Extensions are available (1 month for $39 or 3 months for $99), up to AREC’s one-year completion limit. Plan your study time: Alabama allows a maximum of 6 instructional hours per day, so plan to spread the course over at least 10 study days.
- Final examination: after the State Exam Simulator, you’ll take the Final Course Exam (120 questions, 210 minutes, 80% to pass, two attempts) in a live Zoom session with a MY Real Estate School proctor, who verifies your photo ID before releasing the exam password. Schedule your session by calling 205.822.9322; the Virtual Exam Proctoring page lists the eligibility requirements and exam-day rules.
- After you pass: we report your completion, and you’ll receive your certificate to schedule the state licensing exam. You must take the state exam within 6 months of completing this course.
